James Mills

James Mills is a 36 year old singer song writer from Nottinghamshire. In the summer of 2017 James felt a call on his life to share his music in order to bless others and help build God’s Kingdom here on earth. James has over 20 years of experience writing, recording and performing music to a very high standard.

Although James grew up in the church and was raised by a loving and supporting family, at the age of 15 he decided to leave in search of other things. At that time Jesus and the concept of faith seemed irrelevant to him in comparison to the world around. What then ensued is a wilderness story of drink, drugs and rock & roll which lasted another 15 years.

Thankfully at the age of 30 James came to faith having decided to attend an Alpha course in the search for something more. James now leads a life of faith knowing his purpose is to serve, honour and glorify God in all he does. James has grown to leadership within the church and has experience of leading worship, preaching and sharing his testimony.

Over the past 2 years James has written  and recorded his debut album ‘Entity’. ‘Entity’ captures his journey in faith so far as well as the great passion and intimacy he experiences in his relationship with God.  One of James strengths is the team that surround, support and enable him to play in any context from a solo performance through to full band electric or acoustic set.  James is an exciting artist who is set for big things in the future.  Whether you book him for a live performance, to lead worship or to work in schools James’ quality and professionalism does not disappoint.

“Campers and musicians, not only were they an awesome band but they also spent the weekend/time getting to know the people they are playing too and reaching out too. Big hearts and big cups of coffee. Looking forward to seeing their journey unfold."  Warren Du Toit- KingsStock Festival
